After two successful months at the beginning of the season including the final of Brisbane and the quarterfinals at the Australian Open, Andrea leaves Germany to play the tournaments of Indian Wells and Miami in the USA.
Afterwards Andrea flies back to Germany for the Fed-Cup-Playoff-Match against the USA to battle for the return into World Group 1. Andrea will then play in Stuttgart, before she attends the WTA-Premier-Tournaments of Madrid and Rome.

Andrea Petkovic has dropped out of the WTA-Tournament in Dubai in the second round. The 23-year-old German lost 3:6; 6:3; 3:6 to 12th-seed Kaia Kanepi (EST | WTA 16) in 2:02 hours and missed to reach the round of sixteen.

Andrea Petkovic has reached the second round at the WTA-Tournament in Dubai. The 23-year-old defeated fellow German Angelique Kerber (WTA 48) 6:4; 4:6; 6:3 in a hard fought three-setter. Andrea showed her will to win especially in the third set when she came back from 0-3 down to win six games in a row to close the match.
In the secound round Andrea will face Kaia Kanepi (EST | WTA 16). It will be the first encounter between the two players.

Andrea Petkovic has reached the quarterfinals at the WTA-Tournament in Paris. The 23-year-old beat Kristina Kucova (SVK | WTA 225) 6:4; 6:2 at the round of sixteen.
In the quarterfinals Andrea will face Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA | WTA 48). In the only encounter between the two players so far Andrea took away a 3:6; 6:3; 7:5-victory in a close three-setter.
