Andrea Petkovic has played her last match for 2010. The German Fed-Cup-Player was defeated 4:6; 6:2; 1:6 by Victoria Azarenka (BLR | WTA 10) at the round of sixteen at the WTA-Tournament in Moscow.

Win after impressive comeback

Andrea Petkovic has reached the round of sixteen at the WTA-Tournament in Moscow after an impressive turnaround. The now ranked No. 32 of the WTA defeated Olga Govortsova (BLR | WTA 51) 0:6; 7:5; 6:0 in the first round. "I struggled with the time change in the beginning. And I was still a little bit tired from the matches I played in Linz", Andrea commented on the first set. But after a small medical break she fought her way back into the match and finally rushed through the third set.

In the next round Andrea faces world’s number ten Victoria Azarenka.

Unlucky exit in Linz

Andrea Petkovic has missed the final at the WTA-Tournament in Linz. The 23-year-old lost 2:6; 6:4; 5:7 to Patty Schnyder (SUI | WTA 47) after a fierce battle despite having two matchballs.

Andrea Petkovic has reached the semifinals of the WTA-Tournament in Linz. The German Fed-Cup-Player beat Eleni Daniilidou of Greece 6:3; 6:2 and still didn’t drop a set. In the semifinals Andrea competes against Patty Schnyder (SUI | WTA 47).

Through to Quarterfinals

Andrea Petkovic has rushed into the quarterfinals at the WTA-Tournament in Linz. The German Fed-Cup-Player beat Anne Keothavong (GBR | WTA 147) 6:0; 6:3 in the round of last sixteen. "I made only very few mistakes today. It was very hard for Anne", Andrea said after the match.
