Andrea Petkovic has missed to reach the second round of the KDB Korea Open in Seoul. The world’s no. 51 lost 1:6; 6:2 and 4:6 to Francesca Schiavone (ITA | WTA 56) in the first round. Andrea will play the WTA-Premier-Tournament in Tokyo next.

Andrea Petkovic has missed to reach the round of sixteen at the WTA-Tournament in Cincinnati. The world' no. 50 lost 4:6; 7:6 (3) and 3:6 to Roberta Vinci (ITA | WTA 12) in a hard-fought three-setter.
In the previous match, Andrea was also forced to play three sets. But she took away a 2:6; 6:4; 6:1-win against Daniela Hantuchova (SVK | WTA 47) in the first round. In the qualies Andrea defeated Maria Sanchez (USA | WTA 110) 6:0; 6:0 in only 52 minutes.
Andrea will play the US Open next. In 2011, Petko reached the quarterfinals at the Grand-Slam-Tournament at Flushing Meadows.
